The number of guest nights grew in Romania
The number of guest nights grew by 5.4 percent in Romania in the first five months of the year, compared to the same period of last year – the Romanian National Institute announced on Monday.
Tourists spent 7.385 million guest nights in commercial accommodations. Romanians and foreigners spent on average 1.9 nights.
The number of tourists grew by 10.9 percent to 3,848 million, of which 2,934 million were Romanian guests, while the number of foreign tourists was 914 thousand.
The number of foreign tourists grew by 8 percent compared to the first five months of last year. Mainly German, Italian and Israeli tourists visited Romania, Hungary ranked seventh with 44,842 tourists. (MTI)
