Retail sales in the Euro Zone and in the EU both increased
Retail sales in January increased both in the Euro Zone and in the European Union. The second largest annual increase in the EU was achieved by the Hungarian retail in January – the Eurostat announced.
Retail sales in January increased by 1.1 percent in the Euro Zone, compared to the previous month and by 0.8 percent in the European Union. In December, the monthly growth rate was both 0.4 percent.
Compared to the previous year, retail sales in January increased by 4.0 percent in the Euro Zone and by 3.7 percent in the European Union. (MTI)
