Waberer’s sales increased in the first nine months of the year
Despite the unfavorable economic environment, Waberer’s International increased its sales in the first nine months of the year, and its profit before regular interest and taxes (EBIT) exceeded last year at the end of September – the shipping company announced on Monday on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BÉT). After the quick report, the company confirmed its previously raised profit expectation for 2023.
The company’s consolidated sales in the third quarter of 2023 reached the same level as the previous year, 175 million euros, and in the first 9 months of the year, the company group’s sales increased by 4 percent year-on-year to 527.2 million euros. The first three-quarter annual sales revenue of the international transport segment increased by 3.2 percent to 323.7 million euros, and its EBIT rose by 62.3 percent to 5.2 million euros.
The sales revenue of the regional contract logistics segment (RCL) increased by 2.7 percent to 154.5 million euros and its EBIT by 25.2 percent to 13.9 million euros in the first nine months of the year.The sales revenue of the insurance business between January and September was 60.6 million euros, which is an increase of 13.6 percent, the EBIT result increased by 40.7 percent to 14.3 million euros.
