Wiener sales improved in terms of both value and volume
November-December is wiener season indeed: last year 21 percent of total volume sales was realised in this period, just like a year before. According to the Nielsen Retail Index, retail sales surpassed the 18,000-ton threshold in the first eight months, performing 6 percent better than in the same period last year. Value sales amounted to more than HUF 19 billion, which is 9 percent more than a year before. Volume weighted average price was HUF 1,219/kg – one year earlier it was HUF 1,138/kg.
