The number of guest nights increased in Romania

In the first half of the year, the number of guest nights in Romania increased by 8.8 percent to 9.422 million at commercial accommodations, compared to the same period of 2015 – the Romanian national statistical institute announced on Wednesday.

The Romanian tourists spent a considerable part of the guest nights: 77.4 percent.
In the analyzed period 4.493 million tourists arrived to the commercial accomodations, 11.6 percent more than in the first half of last year. The number of foreign tourists was 1.093 million (12.1 percent increase). Most foreign tourists (over 100 thousand) came from Germany, Italy and Israel, while from Hungary 60 600 tourists used Romanian public accommodation places. (MTI)
