The number of tourists visiting Romania has increased

In January, 5 percent more 758,400 tourists arrived to Romanian commercial accommodations, compared to the first month of last year, while the number of foreign tourists decreased – the Romanian National Statistical Institute announced on Friday.

The number of guest nights spent by tourists increased by 8.2 percent to 1.472 million. The proportion of Romanian and foreign tourists is unchanged. 80 percent of the visitors of the commercial accommodations were Romanian citizens, and 20 percent foreigners. (MTI)
