Romanian retail sales increased
The volume of Romanian retail sales increased by 6.4 percent in the first seven months of this year, compared to the same period of last year – according to the Romanian National Statistical Institute.
According to the seasonally adjusted and calendar-adjusted value, the growth was 7.1 percent during the period under review.
Growth in raw data was due mainly to the sales of non-food products, the volume of which grew by 7.4 percent. The price of foods, beverages and tobacco products increased by 6.9 percent, fuel sales rose 3.9 percent year-on-year. (MTI)
