German retail sales increased in December
The German retail sales increased by 4 percent last December on an annual level in real terms and in nominal terms by 3.5 percent according to the preliminary data of the German Federal Statistics Office, the Destatis.
In real terms, the sales of food, tobacco products and alcoholic beverages in December rose 3.2 percent on annual level, the sales of clothes by 0.6 percent, the sales of furniture by 5.6 percent, the sales of medicines and other healthcare products by 4.1 percent. (MTI)
