Lenovo’s quarterly profit and revenue increased
The quarterly profit and revenue of the world’s leading personal computer (PC) manufacturer, Chinese Lenovo, rose sharply, partly due to the increase in demand for PCs, the company announced on its website on Thursday.
In its fiscal first quarter ended at the end of June, Lenovo’s profit after tax increased by 38 percent year-on-year to $243 million, or $1.99 per share, from $177 million, or $1.48 per share, a year earlier.
The company’s revenue rose by 20 percent to $15.45 billion, well above the average analyst expectation of $14.1 billion.
