EU retail sales increased in May
Retail sales increased by 1.0 percent in the euro zone and by 1,2 percent in the entire European Union in May, compared with the previous month – the Eurostat announced on Wednesday.
However, compared to last May, retail sales decreased by 0.1 percent in the euro zone, while in the EU-27, the volume of retail sales rose by 0.5 percent.
According to the statistics of Eurostat, retail sales increases in all member states in May except in Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria, where a 3.0 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.3 percent decline was registered. (MTI)
