Retail sales increased in the Czech Republic
On an annual basis, the retail sales in the Czech Republic increased by 1.1 percent in May. In a monthly comparison, however, the decline was 1.5 percent – the Czech Statistical Office reported.
Compared to April, mainly the sales of drug purchases and the sales of health-related products dropped; by 5.6 percent, but the sale of food has also reduced. However, the turnover of online stores further increased, which is primarily the result of lower prices and more convenient purchases. The monthly sales of computing rose by 13.9 percent in May.
