Retail sales in the euro area increased
In November, retail sales in the euro area grew much more than expected on a monthly and yearly basis.
The European Union’s statistical office, Eurostat announced on Tuesday that seasonally adjusted retail trade sales in November rose by 1 percent in 19 euro area member states and 0.6 percent in the 28 EU member states.
In the previous month, October, retail trade turnover in the euro area decreased by 0.3 percent and in the EU by 0.2 percent. (MTI)
