The growing area of leguminous plants has increased
The growing area of leguminous plants has increased significantly in recent years in Hungary, but continues to provide only a small part of domestic arable crop production. The Ministry of Agriculture is encouraging their cultivation with grants – the Minister of Agriculture said on Thursday in Budapest at a professional conference.
At a professional conference organized by the Ministry of Agriculture on the occasion of the International Year of Legumes, Fazekas Sándor Minister of Agriculture said that in 2015 leguminous plants were cultivated on 116.7 thousand hectares, 2.7 percent of the total arable land. (MTI)
