Employment increased in the third quarter in the euro area
Employment in the euro area grew more than expected in the third quarter, according to a report by Eurostat, the European Union’s statistical office.
The number of employees in the third quarter increased the most since the start of the registers in 1995, by 1.0 percent in the euro area and by 0.9 percent in the EU. In the second quarter, employment fell by 3.0 percent in the euro area and by 2.8 percent in the EU. (MTI)
