Danone has increased its turnover and profits in the first half of the year
The French food group Danone SA in the first half of this year, has achieved sales of 11.06 billion euros in revenue, compared to the 10.45 billion euros of a year earlier.
Operating profit in the first half of this year, in line with the analysts' expectations, rose to 1.45 billion euros, compared to last year’s 1.48 billion euros, net income increased to 972 million euros, from the 881 million euros of 2012.
In the second quarter Danone's net sales amounted to 5.72 billion euros, slightly higher than the analysts' expectations of 5.71 billion euros and is significantly higher than the 5.36 billion euros of the second quarter of 2012. (MTI)
