British retail sales increased
After the 0.5 percent monthly decline of May, retail sales in Britain increased by 0.1 percent in June.
According to the British National Statistical Office (ONS) in all sectors of the retail sector a growrh was detected in June. Last time similar occurred in March 2012.
On an annual basis a 3.6 percent increase was measured, after the 3.7 percent increase of May. Analysts expected a slightly larger 3.9 percent growth. (MTI)
