No change in sales concentration
COOKING OIL sales exceeded HUF 30 billion in the February 2016-January 2017 period. Value sales grew by 6 percent but volume sales dropped 2 percent. There was no change in the level of sales concentration: shops bigger than 400m² realised 72 percent of sales – just like in the previous 12-month period. The market share of manufacturer brands dropped from 52 to 47 percent.
OLIVE OIL sales were worth more than HUF 4 billion in the examined period. Both value and volume sales augmented by 6 percent. Sales concentration increased a little: stores with a floor space above 400m² had a value share above 87 percent. Manufacturer brands saw their market share decrease by 6 percentage points to 36 percent.
