On the afternoon of September 2, the Vocational Training Center of Heves County organized a festive opening event. Gáborné Pölöskei, the deputy state secretary responsible for vocational training at the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, and Sándor File, the general secretary of the Heves County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participated in the event of the HVSZC, which employs more than 400 teachers and has a total of 279 dual partners.

After the opening by Erika Milibák-Veres, the director general of the HVSZC, Gáborné Pölöskei spoke to those present about the achievements and further tasks of the national vocational training network. Among other things, the deputy state secretary said:

“Vocational education must be accepted, its social status must be raised. The restructuring of vocational training created an opportunity for this, which the teachers and managers involved managed to take advantage of. As a result, positive changes can be seen, one of the most important of which is that, despite unfavorable demographic trends, the number of applicants to vocational training institutions has been increasing for years. Ultimately, it can be said that vocational training has now become a career…”

In his presentation, Sándor File, Secretary General of the Heves County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, gave information on the county’s economic situation, covering in detail the related labor market needs of companies and institutions.

Afterwards, Erika Milibák-Veres and Chancellor István Hegyi reported on the results and work of the vocational training center in their joint presentation. Their primary task was to guide as many students as possible from primary school to vocational training, while also providing adults with the possibility of vocational training and retraining, in which the dual partner network has a prominent role. The standard of education is also constantly rising, which is determined by the internal sharing of knowledge, further training and the establishment and operation of working groups between institutions.
