More pigs than before

Thanks to the swine strategy, the domestic pig population started to grow. The goal is to double the number of animals by the end of the decade – the Minister of Agriculture said on Wednesday in Szekszárd.

According to the latest figures, there are 3.2 million pigs in Hungary, which is more than 220 thousand more than in the previous year. The industry can be maintained on a growth path – Fazekas Sándor added. (MTI)
