Increasing labor migration, 43% of workers would be willing to resign within a year
Four out of ten employees would resign within a year, most of them switching to a higher-paying job, according to an international survey by EY involving more than 1,500 employers and 17,000 employees. According to two-thirds of employers (68%), labor migration has accelerated. Those looking for a new position would mostly look for other options for higher pay (35%), flexible working (32%) and promotion of their careers (25%). 43 percent of those surveyed would resign within 12 months, including the younger generation Y and Z, nearly half of whom (48%) are open to standing. The majority of subordinates (42%) think that wage increases could be prevented primarily by raising wages, but only one in five (18%) employers agree with this.
