NKFH: glass cup recalled by distributor due to heavy metal leaching
The distributor has recalled glass cups from Flying Tiger stores due to heavy metal leaching – the announcement published on the website of the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority (NKFH) on Tuesday reads.
According to a notification received through the EU’s Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF), lead and cadmium above the limit value were measured in the product, which reached Hungary via Denmark, to the stores of Tiger Stores Hungary Zrt. The 220 milliliter glass cup with a floral pattern, manufactured in China, has the article number 3060031 and is distributed by Flying Tiger Copenhagen.
According to the statement, the NKFH immediately contacted the Hungarian company. Tiger Stores Hungary Zrt. has taken the necessary measures, and the authorities are monitoring the further fate of the recalled products, they wrote.
