The National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority (NKFH) and the National Tax and Customs Authority (NAV) Pest County Tax and Customs Directorate conducted a coordinated inspection of the logistics center storing and distributing Kalóriakirály products. As a result of the operation, NKFH inspectors seized more than 1,500 boxes of counterfeit dietary supplements, the market value of which – based on the promotional prices displayed on the website – is estimated at nearly 5.5 million forints – the NKFH told MTI on Thursday.

The NKFH is conducting an official inspection against the influencer who publishes under the name Kalóriakirály, who continues to illegally distribute his dangerous dietary supplement products despite official measures.

During the investigation, food adulteration – i.e. misleading labeling regarding essential properties and other labeling errors – was revealed – they wrote, adding:

the authorities worked to remove the infringing products from circulation, and the logistics center cooperated in an exemplary manner during the official measures.

The three blocked products are the Kalóriakirály fat-destroying serum dietary supplement capsule with l-carnitine, chromium and plant extracts (16.2 g), the Kalóriakirály hunger-suppressing elixir dietary supplement capsule with plant extracts (13.9 g/30 pcs), and the Kalóriakirály fat-destroying extra 37.67 percent more active ingredients dietary supplement capsule (16.05 g/30 pcs).

These contained misleading labeling regarding their essential properties, which constitutes food adulteration under the applicable laws.

The products do not indicate the risk groups for whom consumption may be particularly dangerous.
