NKFH: Dörmi filled with milk cream was recalled from circulation due to mold

Mondelez Hungária Kft. has initiated a consumer recall of the product called Dörmi Tejes soft sponge cake filled with cream, as the presence of mold was identified in several batches of the product in Poland – the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority (NKFH) told MTI on Monday.

The NKFH ordered the recall and withdrawal of the affected items from circulation, and Mondelez Hungária Kft. took care of the measures.

Name of the affected product: Dörmi Tejes soft sponge cake filled with cream (28 percent), 30 gram package. Manufactured by Mondelez International, Inc., batch numbers and best before dates: OPM0154442 01.05.2026, OPM0154443 01.05.2026, OPM0154451 02.05.2026, OPM0154753 23.05.2026, OPM0154761 24.05.2026, OPM0154762 24.05.2026.

Please do not consume products with the listed batch identification data. According to the company, the purchase price of the product will be refunded at the place of purchase.

The NKFH stated: mold consists of microscopic fungi that can also settle on food. They appear not only on the surface, but also inside, changing its sensory properties. Some types of mold produce toxic substances, so-called mycotoxins, so consuming moldy food can pose a health risk. Mycotoxins can cause allergies, nausea, and liver damage.
