NKFH: tomato sauce recalled due to presence of foreign substance
Feldhoffer Bt. has recalled 500 gram glass-packed tomato sauce called Granoro Dedicato passata di pomodoro, produced in Italy, due to the presence of foreign matter and glass – the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority (NKFH) announced to MTI on Friday.
The authority requests that anyone who purchased the product after 31.12.2026. from a product manufactured by Pastificio Attilio Mastromauro Granoro Srl with a shelf life of 1 year and batch number HP1 LM283 and is in your possession, do not consume it.
According to the announcement based on a notification received through the European Union’s Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed Safety (RASFF)
In Italy A foreign substance (glass) was identified in a glass-packed tomato sauce produced by the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority.
The National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority contacted the company concerned, Feldhoffer Bt., which, in cooperation with the authority, took the necessary measures within its own competence and recalled the affected items from consumers.
The NKFH is monitoring the measures taken by the company and the further fate (destruction or removal) of the recalled products.
