NKFH: Children’s dinnerware recalled due to inadequate consumer information
The Dinosaur World and Unicorn Magic dinnerware sets for children have been recalled due to inadequate consumer information, including because the products, contrary to the markings on them, cannot be used in a microwave oven, the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority (NKFH) told MTI on Monday.
The authority requests that anyone who purchased the Dinosaur World and Unicorn Magic children’s dinnerware sets from the Finnish retailer – Puckator European Distribution Centre Sp. z o.o. – and distributed in Hungary by Marianna Szatmári, a sole proprietor (https://gyertyadecor.hu/), not use them.
An official inspection launched based on a notification received through the European Union’s Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed Safety (RASFF) found that incorrect information was included on the product’s label.
The National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority contacted the individual entrepreneur Marianna Szatmári (gyertyadecor.hu) involved in the case, who, in cooperation with the NKFH, arranged for the recall of the affected items from consumers.
According to the information on the gyertyadecor.hu website, anyone who has purchased the affected products should contact the webshop’s customer service, and the product will be replaced or the purchase price will be refunded. The webshop will bear the costs related to the recall.
