Müller Drogéria Magyarország Bt. has initiated a recall of the 500-gram Himmeltau Children’s Grits with Honey product they distribute due to a foreign substance found in it – the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority (NKFH) told MTI on Thursday.

According to the information, Müller, in cooperation with the authority, took the necessary measures within its own competence, ensuring the withdrawal of the disputed item from circulation and its recall from consumers. The authority is monitoring the measures taken by the company, as well as the further fate, destruction or transport of the recalled products.

The recall concerns the 500 gram product with a best before date of July 2, 2026, and identification number RA25006601. The authority asks consumers not to consume the affected item.

The NKFH also informed that, based on a notification received through the European Union’s Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed Safety (RASFF), an official inspection revealed a pesticide content exceeding the limit value in a Yerba Maté tea originating from Argentina. The product also arrived in Hungary through a Czech distributor.

The NKFH contacted the affected company, and Kamlesh Kft., in cooperation with the authority, immediately took the necessary measures within its own jurisdiction and ensured that the affected item was recalled from consumers. The authority is also monitoring the measures taken by the company, as well as the further fate, destruction or disposal of the recalled products.

The recalled product is the 1-kilogram package of Yerba Mate Piporé Tradicional tea, with barcode 7793750000019. The authority has drawn attention to the fact that anyone who has purchased this product should not consume it.
