NKFH: French yogurt in a glass was recalled due to broken glass
Broken glass may be found in the French “traditional” or “gourmet” yogurt, plain and fruit versions of the Beillevaire brand, the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority (NKFH) announced.
No one should consume the Beillevaire brand, 180-gram packages, with a best before date of 04.07.2025 – they warned in their announcement.
According to the information, a report was received on the EU’s Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) that broken glass was found in the French yogurt in a glass, a shipment of which also arrived in Hungary.
The NKFH contacted the affected distributor (Maison Gourmet Hungary Kft.) without delay, and the company, in cooperation with the NKFH, and with the health protection of consumers in mind, immediately took the necessary measures within its own jurisdiction and ensured that the affected items were recalled from consumers. The authority is monitoring the measures taken by the company and the further fate of the recalled products, they wrote.
