NKFH: Aldi recalls chicken sausages due to allergen presence
Aldi Hungary Food Bt. initiated the recall of the product Baromfivirsli with chicken breast 280 g, as it may contain a milk allergen (cheese), the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority (NKFH) announced to MTI on Saturday morning.
The recall concerns the products called Baromfivirsli with chicken breast, packaged in 280 grams, with a best before date of 2025.08.06.
According to the announcement, consuming the product may pose a health risk for sensitive consumers. It can be safely consumed by those who do not suffer from milk allergies.
Aldi, in cooperation with the authority, took the necessary measures within its own jurisdiction, ensuring the withdrawal of the disputed item from circulation and its recall from consumers.
The measures taken by the company, as well as the further fate of the recalled products (destruction or removal), are being monitored by the NKFH, they wrote.
In the statement, the authority asks that anyone who has purchased this product and is still in possession of it not to consume it.
