NKFH: DANONE recalled breast milk substitutes
DANONE Hungary Kft. has recalled Milumil and Milupa breast milk substitutes due to microbiological non-compliance, cereulid toxin was detected in one of the products’ ingredients – the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority (NKFH) announced to MTI on Thursday.
The recall affects the 900 gram Milumil AR Optima, a special – intended for medical purposes – food for dietary care, the 900 gram Milumil 1 optima milk-based breast milk substitute, and the 500 gram Milumil 2 breast milk supplement, Milumil 2 breast milk supplement in 1500 grams and Milupa 1 breast milk substitute in 600 grams.
The authority requests that anyone who has purchased these products and still has them in their possession not use them.
According to the announcement, DANONE Hungary Kft. has initiated a consumer recall of the breast milk substitutes.
It was emphasized that DANONE Hungary Kft., in cooperation with the authority, The authority is monitoring the measures taken by the company and the further fate (destruction or disposal) of the recalled products.
