There is no New Year without salt mixes
During New Year’s Eve, the demand for salty snacks and chips increases. One of the most popular snack is the mix consist of crackers, small salted pretzels and salt sticks.
According to data of the Intersnack Magyarország Kft. (Chio) the annual snack consumption in Hungary is a total of 30,000 tonnes, of which one-sixth is consumed in December. In the last quarter, the market leader company’s plant in Győr is working at full blast, because not only the Hungarian but also the markets of the neighboring countries are supplied from there.
