No more free plastic bags in Albert Heijn’s fruit and vegetable sections
Dutch retailer Albert Heijn has stopped giving customers free plastic bags in its fruit and vegetables departments, in a move that will save 243,000 kilograms of plastic per year. In the future customers can use sustainable bags that are washable and suitable for multiple uses.
