There is no challenger to espresso
Based on data collected in the Hungarian network of OMV Hungária, in 2024, 55 percent of motorists visiting a coffee shop chose espresso, while another 20 percent of guests chose cappuccino. Long coffee, Wiener Melange, and 6 other coffee specialties available in OMV VIVA cafes made up a quarter of purchases in the first four months of the year.
Drinking coffee at filling stations is not only about replenishing energy, but also a short break, a little me time in the middle of everyday tasks or trips. This is supported by the fact that two-thirds of coffee consumers consumed their coffee locally as opposed to the takeaway version.
OMV is committed to ensuring that every customer can find the right stimulant for their taste in VIVA coffee shops, so in addition to classic coffees, visitors to filling stations can also find seasonal drinks. Ice drinks are popular in the summer, and seasonal hot drink specialties in the winter, such as the pistachio Latte Macchiato.
