No uniform rules for FMCG-packaging exists in Hungary
Tere is no fixed consumer protection law for the packaging of various products, including FMCG-products: there are no requirements to indicate data like origin, producer ingredient etc., which may lead to a number of problems – jogiforum.hu mentioned.
The only exceptions are cosmetics, gas-products, household electronic devices, computers where there are uniform laws to indicate certain data on the package of the above-mentioned products. However, the Hungarian Consumer Protection Authority does not approve of the fact that such laws are not reinforced in case of food-FMCG-products, so they do everything to make this change in 2011.
