Nielsen: Stronger position for drugstores
PAPER DIAPERS: between March 2016 and February 2017 paper diaper sales were realised in the value of more than HUF 19 billion. Value sales augmented by 4 percent and volume sales were up 5 percent. Drugstores were responsible for 48 percent of value sales – 3 percentage points more than a year earlier. BABY WIPES: the size of the market was almost HUF 6 billion. Value sales increased by 9 percent and volume sales surged by 10 percent. Drugstores and hypermarkets generated 70.5 percent of sales – just like in the previous year.
BABY POWDER: sales amounted to HUF 304 million in the examined period. Value sales rose 2 percent and volume sales bettered by 1 percent. Drugstores’ share from sales remained 40 percent. BABY OIL: in the 12-month period more than HUF 210-million worth of sales were realised. Value sales were up 3 percent and volume sales also grew by 3 percent. Drugstores’ share in sales stayed put at 51 percent.
