Nielsen: the sales of household chemical goods and cosmetics increased in value, reduced in volume
Retail reached about 150 billion HUF sales revenues from household chemical goods and cosmetics in the first half of the year, compared to January-June 2011. This represents a one percent plus, in a half year comparison. In terms of volume sales decreased by 2 percent in the 90 categories, measured by Nielsen.
In value the distribution of diapers, detergents, paper handkerchiefs and hair dye increased better than the average by at least five percent – informs, Melisek Eszter, Nielsen’s new customer relations director. The position of the category mainly containing supermarket and discounts between 401 to 2,500 square meters strenghtened remarkably. Their market share increased by 3-3 percentage points for example at toilette papers, and detergents from one half year to another.
