New name for Italian Riesling
Balaton Circle, Csopak Codex and Riesling Generation announced a competition for finding a new name for the Italian Riesling grape variety. Ideas can be sent in until 30 August and the organisers not only want names but also a brief explanation why it would be the best. The three organisers and the presidency of the National Council of Wine Communities (HNT) will decide which name wins and will be registered in Hungary and in the EU.
