The distributor of Rama and Flora margarines has changed its name
The domestic distributor of the well-known and popular Rama, Flora, Violife and Viodeli products has changed its name from Upfield Magyarország Kft. to Flora Food Hungary Kft. All this took place after the company its parent company, the holding company Upfield Group BV, changed its name to Flora Food Group BV in mid-September, and the central website is now available at florafoodgroup.com.
“We are changing our company name to better reflect who we are and what we do. We believe that our new name Flora adequately communicates our plant-based heritage and values; while the word Food refers to what we are passionate about, that is, tasty food; and the Group brings together the more than 100 iconic brands that are loved by many generations around the world”
– said Zsolt Babják, commercial manager of Flora Food Hungary Kft.
Another change affecting the domestic company is that the commercial catering business will be part of the Flora Food Group, and the domain of the related digital platforms will be changed to www.floraprofessional.com.
The name change represents an important step in the development of the company group, which was preceded by the performance-oriented transformation of the holding company as a whole on several levels. The new name reflects Flora Food Group’s elevated purpose to offer the next generation of tasty, natural and nutritious food that is both more affordable and sustainable than similar products made from milk.
Taking advantage of four global megatrends (population growth, demand for dairy alternatives, animal welfare concerns and stricter environmental regulations), Flora Food Group is responding to these changes with products in four growing categories (butter alternatives and spreads, creams, liquid foods and cheese substitutes). at the top, which on the one hand correspond to these trends, and on the other hand offer consumers a convincing choice. Using its more than 150-year heritage and deep R&D expertise, Flora Food Group strives to achieve further transformation in the mentioned product categories, creating exciting growth opportunities for its iconic brands, local brands and professional business.
“The Flora Food Group name change is an exciting and logical step in our large-scale transformation. We have practically completely reinvented our company. The new name better reflects who we are, as Flora is one of our oldest and most popular brands, loved by millions of families and culinary professionals around the world. This name also evokes the company’s rich heritage and broad portfolio. It demonstrates our commitment to making delicious, natural and nutritious food that helps feed hundreds of millions of families every day.”
