Nestlé’s plan to eliminate child labour
Nestlé announced plans to tackle the risks related to child labour repeatedly appearing in cocoa growing. The plan focuses on an innovative scheme aimed to ensure a higher income for cocoa-growing families and to encourage schooling of children through direct monetary incentives, to foster the expansive use of regenerative agricultural practices and gender equality.
Within the frameworks of the scheme, Nestlé will purchase all of its cocoa through a fully traceable supply chain. //
