The new cooperative form for pensioners is popular
Within three months, 36 Public Interest Pensioners Cooperative were established in Hungary and their number is likely to rise further – Hantos Zoltán, project manager of the OPTEN company information service provider told.
With the amendment of the law, which entered into force on 1 July 2017, it was possible to set up public interest retirement cooperatives. The purpose of creating the new co-operative form is to reintegrate active retirees into the labor market, thus reducing the increasing labor shortage in the private sector.
