Nike is popular in Europe
With growth in the U.S. and abroad, plus surprisingly strong future orders, Nike allayed fears and buoyed hopes for some about the future of the world's largest athletic shoe and clothing maker.
For the fiscal year, the company reported net income of $1.5
billion, or $2.93 per share, up from $1.4 billion, or $2.64 per share in the
prior year. Sales rose 9 percent to a record $16.3 billion for the year.
