AutoWallis appoints a vice president of international business development to support regional expansion
The AutoWallis Group is further increasing its regional expansion after appointing Andrew Prest, who until now was the head of the Wholesale Business Division, as its vice president responsible for international business development. His former position is occupied by Pál Bihari, who came from within the company. The transformation will contribute to the fact that AutoWallis, which is present in 16 countries in the region, will be able to focus even more strongly on international expansion in the future, which may be the main direction of growth in the coming years as well.
The AutoWallis Wholesale business performs import or support tasks in 16 countries of the region, representing, among others, such popular car manufacturers as Opel, SsangYong, Jaguar or Land Rover, Renault, Dacia and Alpine. Last year, the Group was among the first to enter into a partnership with the Chinese brands BYD and MG. The company, which is listed in the Premium category of the Budapest Stock Exchange, is constantly investigating further business development opportunities in order to further increase its regional coverage and become the dominant car trade and mobility service provider in the Central and Eastern European region by the end of the decade. The strategic goal of AutoWallis will continue to be regional expansion in the future, which is why the company created the position of vice president responsible for international business development of the Group, to which Andrew John Prest, the previous head of the wholesale business, was appointed as of May 1.
