An international real estate consultant is waiting for the full recovery of Hungarian tourism in the spring
Domestic tourism remains extremely strong in the countryside, with tourism in the capital being the first to recover in the region thanks to high-quality new hotels and the resulting rising average prices, according to research by CBRE’s international real estate consultant. According to Laurent Lassier, a CBRE expert, with the introduction of the International Vaccine Passport by the spring of next year, tourism could also reach pre-pandemic values.

The capital’s tourism performs well
Based on the data of the summer period, the Hungarian hotel market is showing stronger and stronger signs of recovery. The total Hungarian market is approaching pre-pandemic values on an annual basis, the occupancy rate of rooms is 90-95 percent of last year’s results, and revenues increased by 10-12 percent in parallel with the average price of rooms, according to CBRE data.
