This year the event is in association with the National Ploughing Association (NPA) and the Irish Countrywomen’s Association (ICA).
The winner’s brown bread will be stocked in all Aldi Stores in Ireland for twelve months. They will also receive a share of the profits, which according to the retailer, could reach €15,000 for the year.
The competition now receives entries from each of the 26 counties in Ireland. The National Finals will be held from 17 – 19 September, Checkout reports.
