There is a need for a National protein feed program
Hungary covers its livestock protein requirement mainly from US imports. There is a need for a National protein feed program to induce genetically modified (GMO) foods – Fazekas Sándor Minister of Agriculture told M1 news channel.
Last year the acreage of GMO-free soybean has increased by 150 percent and the import GMO soybeans may be replaced by the cultivation of alternative crops – such as peas and cereals, alfalfa and algae. (MTI)
