Germany has thrown back to second place due to the crisis
In the first half of the year, China took the world's largest exporter title away from Germany. According to the datas of the World Trade Organization, China's sold 521.7 billion, while Germany 521.6 billion U.S. dollars worth of goods abroad.
The German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) also expects the end of Germany’s export lead in 2009. The survey represented more than eighty countries shows that exports can decrease from 995 billion with 17 percent to 815 billion. In contrast, Chinese exports decreased by only 15 percent and the difference might be enough to change places – reports Világgazdaság Online.
