Consumer prices fell in August on a monthly basis in Germany
In August, inflation in Germany was in line with expectations, meaning that consumer prices fell on a monthly basis and remained unchanged on an annual basis.
According to data posted on the website of the German federal statistical office Destatis on Friday, the consumer price index fell by 0.1 percent on a monthly basis in August and remained unchanged at 0.0 percent on an annual basis.
In the previous month, in July, the consumer price index fell by 0.5 percent on a monthly basis and by 0.1 percent on an annual basis. (MTI)
