German Chancellor at least until the end of the year
Even the most optimistic estimates suggest that the coronavirus epidemic in Germany will last at least until the end of the year – the German chancellor said in an interview on Thursday. The Robert Koch National Institute of Public Health (RKI) has warned that another large-scale wave of infection could start as early as autumn.
In an interview on Deutschlandfunk’s national public service radio, Chancellor Helge Braun highlighted that the first wave of the epidemic had been curbed with slight restrictions, compared to many other countries because the German population had “set an example”. (MTI)
