Merian canning factory will not be closed

The canning factory of the Orosháza based Merian has been saved. Dr. Varga Jenő, the liquidator of the Merian Ltd. of Orosháza informed the affected 300 workers.

The agrárhírek.hu was informed that the canning factory will operate, under the name Gyopár Trio, until the end of the liquidation of Merian Ltd. The new owners however will claim for the usage of the name Merian, thus indicating that the 100-year old traditional company has future. The new owners received the credit and from the end of October, they can officially take over the plant. It is already certain, that the jobs of the 300 workers will remain – reports szabadfold.hu.
