The killed ducks did not have bird flu
Avian influenza was suspected in a flock of ducks in Pusztaföldvár Békés County. The herd was eradicated on Sunday, but later tests showed that the animals were not infected, the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) told MTI.
According to the report, mortality has risen at the farm, so officials immediately shut down the farm after the on-site inspection, sent a sample to Nébih ‘s laboratory and liquidated the 27,000 herds on Sunday due to suspicion of bird flu. (MTI)
