Bio mangalica do not purchased ,while traditional pork is popular
According to experts, the “triumph” of biomangalica is a myth. Eco- mangalica is expensive and noone pays for it domestically and abroad as well. In big volumes it is almost impossible to purchase the animal on price.
For traditional mangalica there is a high demand domestically and beyond the borders of Hungary. A three-year-aged, four kilogram mangalica ham can be sold for five hundred to six hundred USD in the American market.
The mangalica meat can be sold at an average of 50 percent more expensive price than the traditional pork – reports Origo.
